A Bird's Eye View into my Life~Part 2

Here's Part 2 of a bird's eye view into my life....A typical day in the life of our famly.

~I get up around 6:20am. I would love to get up earlier, but that's as early as it gets for me. I wake my honey up and lay out his clothes for him while he jumps in the shower. I always offer breakfast, but he usually says no, and heads on to work by 6:40am.

~After he leaves I get up and get dressed and throw my bed together. I don't put make up or anything on when I'm just going to be around the house and even when I do, it's just powder and a little mascara. I head into the kitchen and pour me a cup of coffee, and sit down to read a few verses out of my Bible.

~After about 15 minutes of reading, I hop up and unload the dishwasher and start breakfast. I get the kids up to eat breakfast, we pray, and do our morning Bible reading and devotional, then we clean up dishes and the kids head off to get dressed and brush their teeth while I help the little one get dressed.

~After everyone is dressed we do a little bit of our school stuff for about an hour to an hour and a half. Then we move onto chores. I have a daily list of to-dos that I need to do and that the kids need to do. We usually work until lunch time, when we take a break while daddy's home on his hour break. After lunch, we clean up and I let the kids have some free time while I do some more cleaning or work on a project, or sewing. I lay my youngest down for a nap around 2pm, and the other kids will either get to lay down or read quietly or sometimes I let them watch a movie if they've been good.

~The youngest sleeps for about an hour and a half to 2 hours. I should also say that between all this, I have laundry going usually most of the day. I start my first load in the morning and make sure that all the clean clothes are put away before 4pm, when hubby comes home. Also, before he comes home, I make the kids do a quick clean up around the house so it will look nice when he walks in the door.  I have been trying to go for walks around 4:30 after hubby gets home for about 15 minutes, but have only managed to do that a couple of times.

~After the walk, if I go, I start dinner. I try to have dinner on the table by around 6pm so that we can enjoy some family time aftewards. We clean up the kitchen and make sure the house is still picked up and then we spend time together playing games or watching movies. Then it's bathtime for the kids, and they go to bed around 9pm, I hop in the shower/bath and get ready for bed and usually read for about an hour and then it's off to bed for me.

Well, there you have it. My day is not always so smooth, but most days it does go quite well. Things are fixing to change with the coming school year. More to come on that later though. Well, TTFN. Ta-ta for now.
