Friday=Cleaning Day for us

Today is going to be a crash cleaning day....meaning I've got to catch up on all that I haven't gotten done lately. Laundry, dishes, and of course all the decluttering. I decided that my main focus for today would be my den/all purpose room. The room is rather small and tends to be where we gather to do about everything. Here's a picture of it....

As you can see it is small, and although it is not incredibly cluttered, the fact that we use this room for so much makes it look cluttered. We have our computer and filing stuff. In the multi-colored shelving thing is extra coloring pages and blank paper, learning toys, puzzles and blocks, and crayons. The thing is, I want more in this room and I've got to figure out what I need to do. In my house I have a room in the back of the house, and it is used mostly for storage and is also where all my sewing things are at. But with my sewing machine back there, I am unable to do any sewing until the children are asleep or my husband doesn't mind watching them for a while. So what I would like to do is move just my sewing desk into this room so that I can do my sewing and keep an eye on the little ones all at the same time. Does that make sense? I have so much sewing I need to do...more diapers, clothes for school, presents for Christmas, etc. And I just can't ever get to it, because I don't want to leave my children, especially my adventurous 2 year old up in the front by themselves, and I don't think she would sit in there long enough for me to get much done. So I'm thinking right now, I'm going to find another home for those boxes in the corner, full of papers and kids artwork and school papers. Then I'm going to scoot the desk and file cabinet down into the corner, giving me a little bit more room by the bookshelf, and I believe if I do that, there will be room for me to put the multi colored baskets thing by it and I'm thinking of getting rid of that little chair in the corner as no one really uses it anyways. Then I'll either put the keyboard by the other wall, not pictured, and put my sewing desk along the wall where the shelf and piano was. I know this may not work, but it never hurts to try, right? Well, I better get off of here and get busy. Got lots to do. Right now my washing machine and dryer are humming along, which also just happens to be right off of this room I'm in. I've got to go get a late lunch on, and do up some more dishes. I'll take some after pictures when I'm done, Blessings,
