Menu Planning. Possible Help Needed - Inquire Within My Mother passed away last June and I am still dealing with much of her precious collections. (I have inherited many craft supplies for card making and scrapbooking, along with AT LEAST 500 Cookbooks - I probably have about 100 in my own collection...Master Drone was trying to figure out just where I was expecting to put them all as I sort through them...seriously.) Since NO One in the family apparently likes my cooking, as I am just finding out for the first time in 28 yrs, He has the audacity to suggest that if perhaps I would just use 'one recipe a day from one of the many books I might choose from.....' I will not even try to describe the scathing look Mistress Bee gave him as now just looks at me with his mocking imitation smile that is unsheepishly sarcastic in his usual chiding characteristic manner...'humpph' as I stick my nose in the air and turn away. Buzz, Buzz, Buzz…..Sincerely, Mistress Bee Post-Script: We attended a meeting as Bumblebee will be attending a week-long Scout camp this summer for the first time. Master Drone willingly ‘volunteered’ to attend as an adult leader for the whole week. I thought it gracious of him knowing that Bumblebee’s personality might need some moral support and some much needed Father/Son bonding. But alas No, His reasoning: “I get a whole week of ‘good’ cooking”. Guess who’s sleeping on the couch tonight!! (Actually I’ve been at this camp before overnight and have experienced the 3 daily home cooked meals from the kitchen – They’re Fantastic.) Do you think I could trade places with Master Drone and let ‘Him’ do the cooking at home? (Long sigh….I guess not) I Miss BloggingMuch has happened since my last post. Adjusting to the Adjustments of the married bees and wondering if they know the true meaning of the word 'independent'...(Anyone out there know what I mean...LOL). But I am trying to rely on the Lord to see me through and feeling like I'm failing miserably. Becoming a "Mamsie" Bee (My chosen name for 'Grandma') for the first time and actually getting to see the homebirth. Princess Bee and Prince Bee Charming have a 'baby girl bee' (our new little granddaughter is now 3 months old...a real cutie). Also, the joy in finding out that that Mr. Green Bee and Cinderella Bee are now expecting their first little bee sometime in late October. They both are in their own homes now and have their own mortgages... Welcome to our world. Married Drone Bee and Queen Bee are currently stationed in South Korea and can see the North Korean border and guard houses across the river from the balcony of their apartment. They are starting paperwork to be considered for adopting a child. We are back to homeschooling, but getting back into the real 'swing' of things leaves much to be desired, and I am beginning to doubt the outcome that I am hoping for in the true spectrum of our purpose here on earth. I got a phone call, a Sister-Friend from Church. I’m not sure how it happened but I expressed a few concerns and guess what she tells me, “I’m NORMAL”. REALLY! Many of the experiences/feelings are the same things women (and sometimes men) have been going through for centuries. I guess what goes around – comes around – in the ‘next’ generation…(Please come soon, Please come soon…..well maybe not ‘too’ soon because that would make me even ‘older’ than I am now….stop the birthday candles… freeze time….just let this experience pass quickly. But then wait again…I have to go through this at least 3 more times…and possibly more if I continue to pursue my adoption dreams….sigh…another post to write – ramble about.) She Quoted me a phrase. “Today’s Test is Tomorrow’s Testimony.” I need to remember to ask her who said it. Buzzing off……..Sincerely, Mistress 'Mamsie' Bee (*note to self - partial/combined post)
so i haven't been on in a while... *blushes*srry about that. I've jus been busy with things around the place. um lets see in march what did i do... March I went with some friends to on a mission trip down to Chinle AZ. We dug a septic line for a school so they have running toilets and sinks in their school. We also held vbs for 4 days. We had over 100 indian children come to vbs. It was awesome! XD
We also got to stop at a few places along the way. Like Monument Valley, Canyon De Chelly, Mesa Verde, The 4 corners, we didn't get to go in it but we saw it from the out side. lol we couldn't afford to get everyone in so we didn't go. We jus started lambing agian. We have 4 new babies right now. Once of them is only 5 pounds. ahh shes TINYYY!! Shes pretty darn cute too. hehe Its starting to warm up a bit. Its reached 70F today but the wind is howling like none other so it makes being outside not to enjoyable. My sisters and I don't mind much tho. lol We take any chance we can to get out of the house. :-P Kate
my arm...So yesterday our lame ewe went into labor... beings she had been down and not walking for sevreal days she was weak so I had the lovely job of trying to pull the lambs. All we had was latex gloves sooo my arm got all full of her fluids when I was tryiin to pull the lambs. ewww. Anyways she ended up dieing before I got the lambs out... So we lost them all. Mom thinks she hemoraged cause there was alot of blood when I got out there... anyways now I have this huge rash on my arm.
Other then that not to much happenin... I went bowling later that night with my sister and some friends. I was horrible. :-p Last time I bowled I got a 143... this time my highest was like 108 and my next game was 75!! ahh. It was so bad. bllahhh. lol Kate More Lambs...Today I had to work. I packaged random items... Coconut chips, cranberry mix, flax seeds, dates, ect... Lots of fun... kidding... It was really pretty boring... lol But it pays for my gas. :-p I got home round 5pm. 2 of our ewes had lambed while I was gone. Shoelace had twins, a ewe(11 1/2 pounds) and a ram(12 1/2 pounds) BIG babies!! Elsa also had twins, a ewe(6.5 pounds) and a ram(9 pounds) as well. So we are upto 9 lambs on the place, would be 10 but we lost the one ram. Kate quick catch-upwell I havn't blogged for quite some time have I?! Ok a quick recap of my life the past few months... December... I retook the ACT. It came back with even better then I expected. I was very pleased. :-) New years! We had a party at our house. We had 4 friends come over. One of my friend drove 6 hours to make it. =O We played games, darts, made puppychow and chex mix, ate pizza(teenagers main food group ;-) ) and watched Honey I Shrunk the Kids. lol Hadn't seen that in a while. Middle of January we took our annual trip upto the Wisconsin Dells. We got to a indoor waterpark resort every winter right before our sheep start lambing so we can relax and have a good time. Jan. 28th was my parents 19th anniversary. yay mom and dad. =) Jan. 29th we had our first ewe lamb, she had twins a lil white ewe and a brown ram. She lambed at 141 days and full term is 148 days. So they were a surprise to find. The ram did end up dieing. we didn't realize that the mama had mastitis till a few days after so the ram wasn't gettin all the food he needed and he went down. We brought him in the house and bottle fed him for a few days but he never did come back around. Feb 2nd. My mom, chels, meg, mark(our pk (pastors kid)) and myself went bowling Saturday night. I bowled 143 my first game! XD My personal best. hehehe Feb. 3rd. SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!!! Chels, Taylor, and myself went to Marks house to watch the game on his plasma. Taylor and I were the only ones pullin for the Pats. Mark, his dad, and chels were rootin for the Giants. So we were cheerin and booing each others teams. Loads of fun. lol Pats didn't win tho. boo hoo hoo. Megans ewe, Tippy, had twins. A ewe and a ram. I told her to name the ram Eli for the Giants. lol She jus glared at me.. she's not into football much. Kate Family of Bees (Answers)I really thought it would have BEE-n Easy to guess. Did Mistress Bee Survive???
Well the answer is 'Yes' and 'No'. The weddings and the receptions were indeed beautiful, each in their own respect, due to the personalities of all the bees involved and their individual tastes. They would be much too much to even try to describe. But Mistress Bee DEFINITELY bit off more than she could chew and didn't quite feel as if she measured up to accomplishing all of the tasks for Princess Bee's reception. I am much worn out and 'bee'-ing the 'perfectionist' that I am have beaten myself up mentally for not being more able bodied, mentally and physically and even spiritually. But let me back track just a little. Princess Bee and Prince Bee Charming Did Not get married on January 4th as planned but rather "Temple Eloped" on December 13th, the reception for Princess Bee was still held on January 4th as stated on their announcements. (Yes both set of parents and her brothers were at their marriage ceremony, But it will teach Master Drone not to tell his children - especially 'daughters' when they can or can't get married). Mr. Green Bee wasn't thrilled that younger sister made it to the altar before him but he did survive the shock. He and Cinderella Bee wished they could have eloped too (They had really wanted to get married in November) but they did indeed wait until December 29th as her family had dictated, as they felt it was in the best interest of his and her's relationship with her family. Bumblebee (our 11 yr old) came down with a severe case of the Chicken Pox on the Day of Mr. Green Bee's Wedding and Jr. Bumblebee (age 6) lost his first tooth (only no one noticed until Mistress Bee was trying to get him to smile while the photographer was taking pictures and realized there was 'something' missing in his smile..lol). Whether it was lost during the night, while eating or somewhere on the Temple Grounds no one knows...not even the little bee...but the tooth fairy did still impart her usual $1.00 later that week. The wedding preperations became so stressful that Mistress Bee did enroll her younger bees in a very small homebased charter school back in November and for now they will remain there. (I know that will come as a disappointment to many of you out there...I am sorry). They are doing well for the time being. Master Drone's Grandmother passed away on the 8 of January - The same day our Married Drone Bee (our Eldest age 26 signed the papers to join the army). He shipped out yesterday, January 22nd, much to his Queen Bee's dismay and tearful goodbye. (I escorted her to the Military Office early in the morning to watch him be sworn in.) He was flown to Ft. Jackson South Carolina where he will spend the next 9 weeks for his basic. This is something he has wanted to do all of his life and I know he will be safe in the Lord's hand so I haven't been as fearful. He is following in his father's and father's family footsteps and I will help his Queen Bee learn what I can share about being a 'Military Wife'. Okay so now I must press forward (which I am finding out is not as easy as I had hoped). I am still learning my 'new role' in these new marriage relationships as I have always been very close to my children and they are now pulling away. It isn't always easy, but I am trying. Master Drone says I am putting on a 'Good Front' but I must ever be watchful of what I say and do so I can maintain a good repoire with all. The Lord has promised me that He will watch over them so I really do need to try and let Him and start worrying (my best trait...lol...that and 'sarcasm') about the younger 3 bees and trying to see that they are taught the way I think the Lord would have me, but now for reasons I do not feel I can divulge in this forum, I question myself constantly as I am watching the choices my others bee's are making as they are now growing on their own (and I must not interfere - I did my job the best way I thought I should, but was I too strict (trust me I really am)...or should I have been less....well there's no point in going on....what's done is done....and I must move on...there is no going back). I know not when I shall post again as I stated there is much that I must now keep inside and cannot share publicly, and I feel so helpless that it would be hard to help others, as I know you too have Lives full of Joys and Challenges also, so we shall see. Time will tell. I just don't feel confident in relationships right now. I only wanted to let you know that I am still alive and still buzzing if only in my own head and in my prayers. God Bless You All . Buzzing Around and Around and Even Upside-Down...............Sincerely, Mistress Bee
Hey everyone sorry it's been SO long!!!My last entry was September 26th! ah What is the deal with me? I never get on any more. So sorry!! Ok happeings in the last month.... I took my act's. I got back a decient score but will be taking it again to see if I can score higher to get better scholarships. =P We went up to my grandpas agian for a few days to help him out around the farm. We cleaned out his porch and mom made him apple pie slices, with apples from his trees. Most the apples had fallen so we sent Megan climbing up to the tops of the apple trees to get enough to make it. When mom was making the apple pie slices she preheat the oven and was working on the crust. We were all talking in the kitchen and megan asked if something was burning. Mom was like no it's probably just cheese or something burnt on the inside of the stove. A few minutes later it's starting to get really bad smelling so mom opens the stove and a huge cloud of smoke comes out of the oven. hahahahahah It was so funny. Grandpa had put a box or oreos and a bag of potato chips in the oven so his pets wouldn't get them and forgot to mention that. We still ate the oreos. =p they had kinda melted together but they were still good. =) I finished my senior year of studies. So I am DONE with school. yay!!! I worked Thursdays and Fridays at a health food store in October. I filled in for a lady that went to Cali for the month. Our new pastors family moved in and we got to met them. They seem to be pretty nice. Farmers market is over for the season. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *sigh* I am so happy it's over. =D No more baking, packageing, cleaning, washing. ugg. DONE! Paige had her dental surgery. She now has 4 beautiful front teeth. She had fallen a few times and cracked her teeth and they had turned gray and were full of cavities. They fixed what they could of her little teeth and put those fake ones on top of them. She looked kinda goofy at first haveing normal sized teeth and them being normal colored. Hmm that's all I can think of right now. hehehe. Hope all is going well in your neck of the woods. Kate { Last Page } { Page 1 of 5 } { Next Page } |
