Wow! It's been a While~ Panic Attack...Schooling...Church

My oh my!

I can't believe summer came and went. When I chose my blog name, I guess I didn't realize how much God was going to use it in my life. lol

Things have REALLY changed around here.

Let's see...

A couple of days before "officially" starting the homeschool year, I had a major Panic Attack.  Mind you, I haven't had one in years! It was bad. I found myself uncontrollably crying, unable to breath, holding the phone not knowing who to call. It was a Friday, so Bill only had to work until noon.  It was 11am... I had only an hour and a half until he would be home. I called out to God to help me...wiped my tears...tried to breath...and walk out of the bathroom where I was "hiding". Mind you, that all the children were home, not knowing what to do either. Grace just hugged me and told me, "...it's OK Mommy".  Baby just looked at me not knowing what I was doing. Finally, Bill arrived home, right on time. He hugged me and sent me straight to bed, where I slept for 2 hours!

Later when I woke, I told Bill I needed to go somewhere. He said,"Ok". And took me to talk to a counselor.  Now in retrospect, I wish we would have gone to our Pastor. It felt so good, just to talk to someone "neutral". NOW...NOT that I couldn't talk to Bill. He is my best friend, and I tell him everything! I just needed another person...it was just weird. Anyway...after I talk ed to her, I felt much better. I figured out, that my heart was into homeschooling my children...BUT...I just was not emotionally ready.

The next place I stopped was at the wonderful small Christian Academy in town *(K-12 only 30 students!). I talked with the teacher/administrator, and told her that we were enrolling the 2 eldest children. So...yes. Grace and Matthew are in private school and flourishing!  We have been going to the church, which is an Independant Baptist (Bible church), and LOVING it!  The people are great, God fearing, family oriented people. It actually feels like "home" when we are there.

Welcome All!

This is my 1st entry on my Blog. It feels kind of crazy typing to whomever may read this. LOL  But...alas, I have upgrated to the "tech" world.

There are so many things that happen on a homestead, in a family, and to a Christian woman.  I hope to become a Vessel of God to you and others.  Thus my name. 

A little bit about me:

I am wife/help meet/lover/and Bill's rib.  

I am mommy to four beautiful children ages (7),(5),(3), and (1).  We homeschool them.  We use a "eclectic" style.  Using the Bible, Sonlight, Charlotte Mason, and just the world around us.

We live in WI, and so far raise Chickens.  I had a milking goat, but it wasn't the right time, so ended up returning her.  We also have a Beagle, a tiger Mommy Cat, and 5 kittens.  We will be adding to our homestead soon.

We also have 3 raised bed Vegetable Gardens, 1 Herb garden, and a few flower beds.

I guess for now, that will be it.  Until tomorrow.
