Snake in our yard
A few years ago I was out in our backyard with my brother playing cricket, and today I was looking through some pictures and I found a photo of a snake from that day we were playing cricket. It was in our yard. We think it was a Green Tree Snake, which isn't poisonous. Here is a photo of it.![]() We think it was about 1 metre long. |

Rocky Road recipe with photos
|
Ingredients ------------ 1 small bag of cashews or peanuts (we use a 150 gram bag) 1 small bag of Glace cherries (we use about 3/4 of cherries) 1 bag of marshmallows (not the mini ones, and we use about 3/4 of the marshmallows) 1 large block of chocolate ![]() ![]() Directions with photos: Break up the block of chocolate into small square pieces into a large glass mixing bowl. In a large saucepan, fill it up with boiling water, about half way or a little more. Place the bowl with the chocolate pieces onto the saucepan. Let the chocolate melt, stirring occasionally. While the chocolate is melting, place the cashews or peanuts into a bowl, or whatever you want, and crush them up. You want them to be in small pieces. Next, cut up the marshmallows into 4's (cut in half, and each half cut half again so you have 4 pieces). We use about 3/4th of the bag but it's up to you how much marshmallows you want. Cut the glace cherries into 4's like you did the marshmallows. The combine the cashews/peanuts with the marshmallows and cherries. Next, line a shallow cake pan, or casserole dish with non-stick baking paper. Pour the cherries, marshmallows and cashews/peanuts into the fully melted chocolate. Stir until all combined and everything is covered with the melted chocolate. Pour all that into your shallow cake pan or casserole dish. Spread it evenly, and then refrigerate until it has hardened. Once that is done, you can cut up the rocky road into small squares to eat.I forgot to get a photo of how it looks after it has set. It looks better in person, and it is so good. Very rich though so you don't want to eat too much. Hope you enjoy this! |
