Hello! This is my first blog and I am so excited to get started! Thank you, Sis, for showing me this website! A little about myself and my family....we are from the beautiful state of Arkansas and I truly feel so blessed to live in a place still full of natural beauty. We have been trying to change our lifestyle over the past year to a more natural way of living. We have found that it is a great way to promote family unity, great health and a connection with our roots. I have thought so many times since taking this path that my Grandma is SO wise! I have come to admire more than ever the way that she and Grandpa have lived their lives. They are sterling examples of people living a simple, beautiful life. They raised six children on their farm. They raised their own food and lived thrifty lives. Last time we visited, Grandma and I agreed that though things were not necessarily easier then, they were better.
I feel like there has been an awakening in my soul. It really started right after my husband and I married. Through a series of events, I realized that there was a God and that He cared very much for me. It was such a revelation and comfort to me! I started looking at life in a whole new way. Later on, I joined a women's group and we started to do Beth Moore studies. The first one I did was "Living Beyond Yourself". It was life-changing to me! I started spending time in the Word first thing every morning. I have been on the most amazing ride ever since then. I have found the Christian life to be ever-challenging and very exciting. I love knowing that I have a heavenly Father who knows me and loves me. It seems as though the world is getting crazier than ever, but I also see so many wonderful changes around me. Lots of people like me are waking up and changing their former bad habits to live a more fruitful life. Jesus is the Rock I stand on while the storm rages around me and there is such a sweet peace there in His arms!
