My sincerest apologies for the delay in getting the latest Carnival of the Mundane up and running. You see, there were very few entrants and as such, we didn't have much help getting the big top set up for the attractions. (Well, actually, it's called exerting-oneself-too-much-following-a-severe-sinus-infection, but that would be chiding myself for unwise choices, so let's not go there.) Now, on to our 2007 New Year's resolutions.
First of all, I need to be more resolved about ... well... everything, not just getting the Carnival up on time. Mad Kane certainly seems to have that under control. They even seem doable. Personally, though, I think that American Aardvark week should count.
Perhaps if we could stick to those resolutions, we could avert disaster like Nance does. It was close, but she appears to have kept her resolution to not put out Christmas decorations too early. Of course, amendements to resolutions are occasionally needed.
Does a resolution to make sure that the kids are on time to school count if the school is closed and you don't even realize it? Of course, they could always resolve to hold off on the classification of "snow" until you can't see the ground below it.
There's not much to say about Sparky Duck's anti-resolution, except that perhaps someone should be baking more cookies. However, I think that you will all agree when I state that the baker should not be La Diabla, who seems to have a strange fascination with dairy products.
