To the Hilt

a hidden treasure

{ 10:57, 2006-May-25 } { Posted in photo-blogging } { 0 comments } { Link }

We've been fencing in the old hayfield adjacent to the current pasture, and yesterday my mother came upon this nest. We believe it's the nest of a red-winged blackbird, as there is quite a sizeable population of them in the area.

A shot for height perspective.

Incredibly detail-oriented.

A close-up.

An overhead shot to prove just how well-hidden these nests can be!

This one just makes me want to curl up in a comfortable hammock.    -_-

Check out the Friday Ark.
