the horses are here!
Not only are they here, but we worked them in the larger of the two "pasture" areas we have fenced in thus far. I only worked him at the walk, as I didn't want to aggravate the tendon in my left ankle before the end of volleyball season. Since he and I are only just learning to understand each other at the trot, and this was the first time I had ridden him freely outside of the indoor arena, we decided that it wasn't in my best interest to be the first one to trot him here. So, my mother got on and worked him for a while, and then I got back on to cool him down. Here are some pictures that my mother took this morning after feeding:

Tuck (registered name Cornerback), munching at the shorn-down blades of grass after finishing his breakfast of Trotter and beet pulp.

Willow (registered name Harborfields) is in the foreground, eyeing my mother and the camera, while Tuck grazes behind her.

"You lookin' at us?"
