okay.......it finally happened......it has been snowing in my town for over 2 hours.....very tiny flakes.....my ds(s) said it looked like we were living in a snowglobe. lol.

of course nothing is sticking/accumulating.....and actually it isn't too terribly cold...yes we need light jackets, but that is all.

the weather is the biggest headline in the Fort Worth Star Telegram today. The lead/top headline reads:

"Last April 7, tank tops.  Today, parkas"

let's just say i am so happy to live in a city (i actually live in a suburb of the city) that the lead stories are 1) the unusual temps.....and not even severe weather.

2) the rising level of the area lakes....after a several year drought.

and to   gokings13.....yeah, Gore is sort of a goofus, but........brilliance sometimes comes tempered with insanity.

and yes.....God is in control.....but remember....we do have free will and he WILL let us learn from our own mistakes.....faith and prayer are only the first two steps.......we can't just sit on our rears and do nothing...besides.....being better stewards with the world God has loaned us......is all Gore is suggesting. (when you get right down to it)...what's so idiotic about that?....isn't that what the simpler, homesteading life is based on?  I DO NOT agree with all Mr. Gore's politics....but I think he is an educated man and has his heart in the right place...do I think he has it "all figured out", no.  Could this whole thing be the natural order....yes....probably.....do i think we should still be more responsible....OH YES.

i hope that doesn't read/sound  argumentative....it is not meant in  that tone.........
