About a month ago, I made this dress for a daughter of a freind of ours.  Maya has wanted me to make her "one of  my old fashioned dresses" for some time.  I was finally able to do

that.  I also made one for Selah to match!  The skirt was not quite as old style as I like but it turned out nice.  Here is a picture of Maya Phipps in the dress.

I am also make a whole outfit for our close freind's baby girl.  My girls wair bloomers, long full petticoats, and long modest dresses.  I also wair the same.  My favorite style is the empire fashion of dresses.  It is usually modest and feminine, yet not to frilly.  I bought my pattern for my dresses(I will be posting some pictures soon) from sense and sensibility patterns and I made patterns to match for the girls.  Now my freind Desire'.....

wants a whole outfit for her 5 month old baby, Elyona(did I spell it wrong Desire'?)  So I made her bloomers and a little "petticoat".  I am now working on the pattern for her test dress.  Then I will make her a (hopefully) beautiful pink gown! I will post pictures of them as soon as I have finished them.  For now here is some pictures of the bloomers and slip...

That's all for now...........

Such a lovely and modest dress! I really like it. I wish I could sew like that. I'd love to make dresses for my daughter for when she's older.

Just wondering, do you have a pattern number or label for the dresses you make of the 1st yellow dress? I'd like to make something like that along the lines for me. I'm a plus size woman, but I would love to be able to make a dress that looks beautiful like that. Maybe with peticoat and such as well.

I'm pretty new at sewing, but I would love to buy the pattern so I could learn.

Much love and many welcomes to Homestead blogger.
