Carrie's House Update.....long (4-20-06)
|
Evening Sisters! What a couple of weeks it has been here! Actually what a past 5weeks! PHEWWW! :-) But the good Lord has been very gracious, gracious indeed! House Update: We have FULL POWER AND HOT WATER now, as of Tuesday thank heavens! He had it going last Thursday then we had some issues. But all done now. Although the Electrician has not been fully paid, nor has he submitted or bill to us yet. We are really nervous about that. His estimate to us when he started was $1500.00 - $2000.00 give or take a little he said. Please keep that whole mess in your prayers, that the funds come in to finish paying him what is due. We got the damaged support beams replaced, drywall up over the huge whole in the kitchen ceiling, but still have to make a trap door for access and tuck new insulation up there as well. We got carpet laid in the dinning room, and the roof shingled. Now we just have to get the inner doors, walls and cupboards, and kitchen flooring replaced that were damaged by the water and smoke, as well as start the add-on bedroom so we can get the kids out of the backroom that should be the laundry/utility room. General Homestead: We got the house all painted on the outside, remember I said I had started painting the outside since we couldn't do anything inside until the electrician was done. I painted it a barn red. Kerry did where I couldn't reach and the trim work. We got the kids trampoline set up and tonight, Kerry got up some fencing for our chickens, all 4 of them! LOL! But we will be getting more. They had been in the house until last week, then in the garage. LOL! We want to get our garden started, but need to find someone close with a tiller. I also need to still get boxes unpacked....again! We had to cram stuff into boxes and then shove them into to the bedroom and living room, so I have been working on that as well. This is will be the 3rd time we have had to "fix up" this house. UUGGHH! Businesses: Well as many of you know, I have been selling Premier Designs jewelry and Homemade Gourmet for a year now. PD is a Christian based company, HG gives to alot of Christian charities. Well with starting a new MOPS (Mother's of Preschooler's) group in my church as Coordinator, all the problems with my daughter, moving, hurting my ankle, the fire, etc. I had a mini (private) nervous breakdown! I never cried so much in my life! I have been thru so much this past year! So very much in deed. Well I asked God to prayerfully grant me peace of mind and heart. I asked Him for guidance in my life and where I should be personally and professionally with my businesses. This was His response.........Stay with Premier Designs, let go/take a leave from Homemade Gourmet, step down from MOPS and begin with Good Books & Company ministry. I am so delighted in this journey! I am still able to be at home with Dakota as well as help income to repair our home, especially while paying on 2 houses! Personal: My heavenly Father has shown me once again.....that He loves me unconditionally, that I do not have to answer to anyone but Him and my DH. He has shown me that it doesn't matter what others say or think of me, my family or our decisions. This has been a hugggggggggggge stress reliever for me! We are in between churches right now since the move and trying to decide where to go, but the answer will soon come. I have been blessed and touched by some wonderful Christian woman, some whom I have never met, that have either called me, emailed me, hand wrote me, or sent me a gift of some sort! Just at the moment of my breakdown. To all of you woman...............THANK YOU! Thank you all for prayers, encouragement and support.............I love you! |
