The Meter Man

            Someone drove up our drive this morning and I went out to see who it was. Turned out it was the meter reader. He got out of his truck and said, “I thought there was power out here.”

            “Just solar.”

            “I see that. That’s great! You don’t have to answer to anybody. Don’t have a bill. I think that is just great!”

            It tickled me to see the power company man so excited about alternative energy.
