An ever changing view

Home coming...sort of

The pictures above are of my beautiful baby girl and her sweet husband and of 2 of my grand daughters. It's been over 2.5 years since we've seen any of them and they are (all but my son-in-law):( headed this way as I type this. Ashley and the girls are flying in from Washington state. It's so very far away that we don't get the chance to see them as often as we would like to.

I don't fly...period. I haven't been on a plane since 1987 or close to that. I have never liked to fly and I worked at a job at the time where I needed to do so every 3 months or so. I finally quit that job because I was weary of spending those 3 months worrying about the next flight. Not worth it.

Anyway, on a much happier note, my beautiful girl and her beautiful girls will arrive late tonight (early tomorrow morning) My Love has to work tonight so my son is going to the airport with me. I am just about beside myself with joy! I can't wait to hold my baby girl in my arms. It'll be a little harder to do than it used to be because she is 7 months pregnant with my new grandson.

I have a lot of things planned, including a trip to the zoo and a trip to Dollywood including all of my kids and grandkids! That is going to be so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!! We are praying that the expected rain heads another direction for that day. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reason that I say it's a "sort of" homecoming is because we used to live in WA so this is our home, but WA is their home of course. She is coming "home" because her family is here. GA was only Ashley's home for a very short time because she went back to WA shortly after we moved here. The rest, as they say, is history:)

The girls will be here for about 10 days. Not nearly long enough, but the family is thinking about moving out this way, so we are praying that it will happen sooner rather than later. We have missed them so much!!!! So, pray for a great visit for us please:) And enjoy your children and grandchildren! It's so hard when they are far away!! God bless you!!!!!!!

Hello there! This is Ang, Lindsey's friend from WAY back, formerly of Goose Creek. I found you through her page!
Love your blog!!

You have just beautiful grandkids!! Well you have gorgeous daughters! How'd you manage both son-in-laws with red hair?? ~wink, wink~ :-D

I'll cross my fingers for good weather for your upcoming family trip! Sounds like a blast! We haven't been to Dollywood since we were first married, and I've read it has changed a lot! We're working on getting our rugrats there hopefully soon!

Great to see you online!

Awww, I am so glad you all got to spend some time together. Linz told me you had such a sweet time together.
I am a big ole Moma's girl, so I can not imagine living that far away... well, sometimes I can.. haha
Have a great day...
Love,
Chas
