Pondering over my day.......

Posted at 10:12 on March 9, 2006

 Today was a great day. Austen really did much better and was eager to make things right! He really struggles yesterday, and spent most all day in his room until church. As a parent it breaks my heart when we go through these battles and I struggle with staying consistent...HOWEVER it is a must at this point! He had a great attitude today and was exited about getting started, didn't complain eitherfor a change lol.

It started snowing about 9:00 am and so the kids were just itching to get out and play in it. I assured them that if they got there 3 subjects done then they would be able to go out and play in the snow. They had a ball out in it and I got some great pictures. We came back in to warm up and I made some hot cholclate and some popcorn for them to gobble on.

All in all it was a good day for us in the Richards house And now it's time to get some zzzzzzzzas I try to keep my eyes open as I finish typing lol.

Blessings, and hope all is well with ya' all!

Take The Time To Be.........

Posted at 08:27 on March 3, 2006
Take Time To Be
by David M. Atkinson

Take time to do with life's tender
little kindnesses,
to heal those broken,
by some kind words spoken
to guide them out of blindness.
Oh, take the time to see
all that God would have thee see;
But take time to be,
So thy doing speak reality.
Take time to work in the vineyard
reaping, ready, ripe;
The vine to prune, Satan's plan to ruin,
the tears of penitents to wipe.
Oh, take the time to flee all
that God would have thee flee;
But take the time to be;
So with joy thy harvest plucked may be.
Take time to be,
So thy doings speak reality;
With a fresh anointing pervading all.
Take time to be
So you've grace when trials press you,
Take time to be--
Spend time alone with God.
Take time to go on a mission
or a holy cause;
Give strength and might,
scatter sin's dark night,
And at hell's onslaughts nor faint,
nor pause.
Oh, take the time to free
all that God would have thee free;
But take the time to be;
So your cause be His and there be He
Take time to be,
So thy doings speak reality;
With a fresh anointing pervading all.
Take time to be
So you've grace when trials press you,
Take time to be--
Spend time alone with God.

"Be still, and know that I am God:" Psalm 46:10

"The Crown" Chapter 21

Posted at 12:08 on February 17, 2006

Proverbs 12:4

Quote

" A good women may be married to a man who is not an attentive father or a patient child trainer. Yet the good wife never shows dishonor to him, and she trains the children to be obediant and resourseful. When people see their children, they assume that the father must be a good man to have such fine children."

Quote from "Help Meet"

Posted at 11:33 on February 17, 2006

" A good marriage is good because one or both of them have learned to overlook the others faults, to love the other as they are and not to attempt to change them or bring them to repentence."

This is so true ladies. I think we as women have that mentality that if we nag them enough they will change. You may not even notice you do this but let me ask you this ..........when your husband doesn't go to church or he doesn't do the family devotions, or he doesn't pray at the table, or when he doesn't attend a church meeting with you.....what is your reaction??? I know for me this has been a weekness. My husband is 'not' the spiritual leader in my home. But I have learned that nagging him never amounts to getting him anywhere. However prayer does!!! There are Sunday mornings I get up and I so badly want to say "hunny come to church with us". But instead I just pray, Lord please work in my husbands heart. God will answer your prayers. Don't get discouraged, just keep serving the Lord with all your heart. No matter what your husband does, it should 'not'effect your personal walk with God.

God knows your struggles , he knows your husbands week areas........you need to let Him take care of it, step back and let God work, and STOP trying to be the 'holy spirit'.

I have the sweetest husband!

Posted at 09:02 on February 16, 2006

I have to say I am so blessed in my marriage! I am so thankful that God has blessed our marriage. I never dreamed it could be this good. I grew up in such a messed up home....there was never a good example to follow. Out of my grandmas 8 children all of them are divcorced. I remember we use to say we would never get married, and people would ask why??? My answer was well it's just a peice of paper whats the big deal. Both my husband an I grew up seeing marriage after marriage fail.

There was a time I left my husband i was just fed up with him and how he treated meso silly to say now because I was so wrong for leaving. That same weekend was a womans retreat at church, boy oh boy...did I walk away humbled! God showed me what a retchid wife I was. That has been probably 5 or so years ago. Today I have to say God has changed my marriage from one exreme to the other.  We are very in love. He tells me how his love has gotten so much stronger for me and he longs to come home from work to see me. We have been married going on 11 years...I pray our marriage keeps getting stronger.

One Of My Biggest Struggles

Posted at 04:12 on February 8, 2006

 I have a difficult time with my children going to sleep at night.......It makes it very hard to have that needed time with dh. He works about an hour away from home.......so he is gone 12 house a day. He is so tired when he gets home. He tries so hard to stay up, and when he does the kids just won't settle in for bed. I put them down but they fuss and it takes them forever to go to sleep. This really frustrates my husband.........usually he only get 5-6 hours a day sleep.Makes it hard to have an intimate life.

When you truly love and reverance your husband, the very thought of him loving the likes of you should thrill your soul and make you long to cause him pleasure!

I don't know about you ladies but for me.......I love to see a smile on my mans face and lately my biggest goal has been to have the home and our hearts READY for when dh comes home. I go over the house and pick up clutter, make sure I look decent, turn all background noise out, clean the kiddos up, have dinner done or cooking, make sure he has a towl and clothes for his shower, ect. I also some times sneek in the shower with him :) I deseratly want him to feel like he is want our home to be a place he WANTS to come home too.

To Love Their Husbands (Help Meet)

Posted at 05:06 on February 6, 2006

Traits Of A Good Help Meet

* A good help meet glories in answering  her husband's needs.

* She learns to know his needs even before he is aware he has them.

* She empties her mind of the cares of this world so her body can respond to him with   eagerness.

Ok.......I gotta comment here. I know this is a tough area. Us mommies are so worn out at the end of the day, but there are things that you can do to help you relax and refocus on you man. Hereis something that works well for me.

I get the kids off to bed and I draw a nice hot bath, while Im in the bath I will talk with God about my day and let all the stress go. I pray and ask him to renew my focus, and to help me be the wife my husband needs.

We are commanded ladies to 'be' with our husbands. Don't fail and put your man into temptation. That may sound harsh but it's the truth none the less.(1 Corth 7:4-5)

Here is another great quote from the book (BTW want to read this book?)

God created a man with a regular need for woman, and God commanded a wife to see to it that his need is met by her!

In todays churches, many woman have failed to win their husbands because they have tried to be evangelist instead of wives.

Oh how true this statement is!!! I really struggle in this area. My husband has been backslidden for a long while. I have to really step back and pray because I catch myslef often wanting to say things I have no buisness saying. I have to be thankful for what I have because it could be so much worst. I am learning to have a meek and quiet spirit. What about you?

The Great Mystery Chapter 13

Posted at 07:05 on February 3, 2006

A wise woman understands that her husbands need to be honored is not based on his performance, but on his nature and his God- ordained position. She learns quickly to defer to his ideas or plans with enthusiasm.  She looks for ways to reverance him.

She knows this is God's will for her life.

wow thats powerful isn't it .......
