Quote from "Help Meet"Posted at 11:33 on February 17, 2006
" A good marriage is good because one or both of them have learned to overlook the others faults, to love the other as they are and not to attempt to change them or bring them to repentence."
This is so true ladies. I think we as women have that mentality that if we nag them enough they will change. You may not even notice you do this but let me ask you this ..........when your husband doesn't go to church or he doesn't do the family devotions, or he doesn't pray at the table, or when he doesn't attend a church meeting with you.....what is your reaction??? I know for me this has been a weekness. My husband is 'not' the spiritual leader in my home. But I have learned that nagging him never amounts to getting him anywhere. However prayer does!!! There are Sunday mornings I get up and I so badly want to say "hunny come to church with us". But instead I just pray, Lord please work in my husbands heart. God will answer your prayers. Don't get discouraged, just keep serving the Lord with all your heart. No matter what your husband does, it should 'not'effect your personal walk with God. God knows your struggles , he knows your husbands week areas........you need to let Him take care of it, step back and let God work, and STOP trying to be the 'holy spirit'. <- Last Page | Next Page -> |
