God Will Make a Way

Open Doors is seeking e-mail letters to North Koreans for their Letters from America campaign launched by Free North Korea Radio. These letters will be read aloud in North Korea via radio broadcast.  If you are interested in taking part in this program, send an email to prayer@odusa.org, including your name, state, and what you would like to say to the North Korean people. Please keep the letter short-- approximately 200-300 words in length.

Reminder to “Save the Date” for North Korea Freedom Week- April 28-May 3!  Please go to the Open Doors website for all the details.

(I thought I'd send my Bible study in Jer. since it goes along with the plight of the North Koreans.)

I am doing  a Bible study on the Book of Jeremiah. He was a prophet to rebellious Judah for 23 years. In Jeremiah 11:18-12:6 Jeremiah is discouraged and complains because of the plots against his life. When Jeremiah was perplexed because of the threats even his own kinsmen gave him, he turned to God and committed his cause to God, rolling all his troubles on God. God's answer was that the people would be punished, for their hearts were far from Him. The Lord also rebuked Jeremiah for his impatience (Jer. 12:5).

Hebrews 12:3-4 tells us to "think of Him Who endured from sinners such grievous opposition and bitter hostility against Himself...so that you don't grow weary or exhausted, losing heart & relaxing & fainting in your minds."  We must think of Jesus' trials when we think ours are overwhelming.

Jeremiah is considered a Christ-like figure.
Examples:
Jer. 11:21 - don't prophecy to those in his home town - they seek to kill him;
Jer. 12:6 - those of his household against him;
Mark 3:21 - Jesus' kinsmen went to take Him by force;
Luke 4:24, 29 - No prophet is accepted and welcome in his own town;
Luke 21:16 - delivered up and betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives & friends & some will be put to death.
God will make a way,
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me
He will be my guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength for each new day
He will make a way, He will make a way.
